PTTEP participates in ADIPEC 2023, the world’s largest energy exhibition and conference, held in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. This event aims at uniting the energy ecosystem towards “Decarbonising. Faster. Together.” Mr. Montri Rawanchaikul, PTTEP CEO, took part in presenting his vision during the panel discussion on “How upstream producers are decarbonising operations.” PTTEP executives and employees also contributed various technical proposals within the conference.

At the event, PTTEP showcases exhibition under the theme “Journey to the Endless Possibilities,” presenting investment strategies aligned with the “EP Net Zero” concept to achieve Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 and showcasing innovations. These include technologies that enhance operational efficiency, and especially those supporting carbon dioxide reduction—developed by PTTEP and our subsidiary, ARV, together with partners.

• “MERIns & MERClean”: Smart sample-collecting equipment and pipeline-decontaminating solution that promote environmentally-friendly decommissioning methods
• “Thermite”: Efficient technology for plugging and abandoning depleted petroleum wells at the end of their field lifespan
• “SEACURE”: Carbon sequestration in artificial reefs via concrete curing technology
• “XPLORER”: Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) for external pipeline inspection, helping increase efficiency and reducing time and costs in operations
• “VARUNA Carbon Credit Solution Platform”: Platform designed to accurately calculate carbon credits
• Other technologies including “Smart City Solution Platform”, “HORRUS” which is Thailand’s first fully automated Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) that can quickly inspect and analyze data, and environmental projects that foster sustainable ocean health and blue carbon solutions.

ADIPEC 2023 takes place during 2–5 October 2023, with over 160,000 attendees from over 30 countries around the world. This event is regarded as another significant platform to showcase the potential of a Thai energy company on the global stage, contributing to the sustainable future of the energy industry.
