PTTEP launches new Crab Hatchery Centre to make a sustainable crab fishery

Recently, PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Limited or PTTEP joined hand with the Phang-sai fishermen group to open the “Phang-sai Crab and Aquatic Animals Hatchery Learning Centre” in Sathing Phra District, Songkhla Province, to increase the number of crabs in the sea and makes a sustainable crab fishery. The new centre has been derived from the success of the Crab Hatchery Learning Centre model of Ban Hua Khao in Songkla Province that is also supported by PTTEP. Approximately 200-400 million juvenile crabs have been released annually back into the sea from this hatchery centre.
