PTTEP signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on the cooperation for the School-Based Integrated Rural Development Project (School-BIRD) with the Mechai Viravaidaya Foundation and three pilot schools around the S1 Project. This collaboration is aimed at developing the schools by incorporating the innovative education system of the Mechai Pattana School in Burirum Province and the concept of Pracharath-School project. The students will be imparted with the basic education curriculums plus occupational skills. With these concepts, the schools will become the place for not only educating children, encouraging honesty, discipline and public consciousness for the young generation but also training the students and community members in business entrepreneurship to generate income for their families. This development model is intended to improve the quality of life of the community members and creates self-sustaining community. The cooperation under this agreement will be carried out for a period of 4 years.
